Responsibilities
1)Functional Responsibilities;
- Investigate and evaluate discrepancies between actual and planned processes; ensure data integrity and accurate
analysis.
- Develop and implement systems for smooth factory workflows, eliminating non-value-added activities.
- Analyze product costs; propose strategies to reduce negative variances and improve cost efficiency.
- Design and monitor process improvements to enhance productivity and quality across operations.
- Support monthly and weekly reporting for production targets and industrial performance metrics.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure manufacturing processes are followed in line with safety and quality norms.;
2) Managerial Responsibilities;
- Oversee allocation and performance of manpower and materials.
- Monitor departmental KPIs and project execution in alignment with fiscal budgets and strategic goals.
- Act as a liaison between departments to design operational strategies and support key personnel.
3) Problem Solving
- Identify and solve inefficiencies in man, machine, materials, and money.
- Guide teams through process changes and improvements.
- Recommend new technology or equipment to enhance productivity.
4) Decision Making;
- Set performance targets for teams and individuals for appraisals.
- Define standard time per process for each product.
- Determine manpower planning based on production requirements.
- Assign cost-saving targets to team members.
- Approve training and participation in new technology/automation programs.
5) Documentation
- Maintain updated Industrial Engineering (IE) manuals and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Ensure documentation of all process changes and improvements.
6) Meetings
- Attend strategic review meetings with Vice President and senior management.
- Participate in weekly production and planning meetings with PPC and project heads.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review progress and address issues.
- Present monthly plant performance to top management.
7) Communication
- Collaborate internally with:
- Supervisors on employee performance and process costs.
- Production Managers for project progress and cost control.
- Senior Management for plant performance and operational decisions.
- Engage externally to explore new technologies and gather industry insights.
8) Educational Qualifications
- Preferred: Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), or Industrial Engineering Tools
