The Role:


The Assistant Manager, Operations Excellence will be a pivotal leader in the noon Minutes team, responsible for championing operational efficiency, driving lean initiatives, and ensuring world-class last mile logistics performance within our hyper-local network. This role requires a data-driven, hands-on professional capable of translating strategic goals into measurable operational improvements and effective cross-functional collaboration.


What you'll do:


1. Process Transformation & Standardization:


  • Lead the execution of the Lean Operations component of the strategic Business Plan, focusing on system optimization, process improvements, and cultural change across all markets in which Noon Minutes operates.
  • Actively lead efforts to revamp and streamline existing operational processes. Identify critical gaps and bottlenecks and develop both tech and non-tech initiatives to remove them.
  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Fulfillment, Tech, Planning & Performance team, Admin, HR, Finance, and Procurement to ensure end-to-end process harmonization and efficiency, across all markets in which Noon Minutes operates.
  • Set out and identify best practices, formalize them into Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), facilitate knowledge transfer, ensure robust implementation, and develop a compliance mechanism to track adherence.


2. Learning, Quality & Delivery Associate Training:


  • Drive the process of developing comprehensive training materials. This includes creating training manuals, formal SOPs, and E-learning initiatives for all operational roles.
  • Lead the team responsible for providing training to newly onboarded Delivery Associates (including walkers, cyclists, motorbike, and EV riders).
  • Develop and implement retraining initiatives to increase the quality and performance of the existing fleet, specifically targeting performance gaps to prevent offboarding (churn) due to poor performance.
  • Ensure the overall quality and consistency of the Delivery Associates' performance across the entire fleet.
  • Lead the training and onboarding of Area Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Dispatchers, while working closely with Country Leadership to design and implement performance management frameworks that drive operational excellence.


3. Technology & Product Development:


  • Based on operational insights, initiate tech development requests with the Technology team.
  • Work in parallel with the Tech team on upcoming Product Roll Outs and the Introduction of New Product Features, including initiating and managing relevant operational requests related to these changes while ensuring alignment with Country Leadership goals and continuous improvement in store operations.


4. People, Training & Recruitment:


  • Lead the training and onboarding of Area Managers, Supervisors, and Dispatchers.
  • Work directly with Area Managers on performance management initiatives to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Oversee the full recruitment cycle for frontline staff by scheduling, announcing, and conducting recruitment drives for Logistics Associates (Dispatchers) across the UAE.



What you'll need :


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years of total experience in E-commerce, Supply Chain Design, or Operational Excellence, with a strong preference for candidates having at least 2 years of experience in the GCC region.
  • Proven experience acting as a strategic business partner, delivering data-backed decision support and enabling strategic initiatives that help to improve organization financial performance.
  • Strong analytical ability (e.g., pivot tables, lookup functions) to gather and interpret operational data.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the proven ability to build and manage relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Technologically savvy, with familiarity with Google Suite being a plus.
