Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and technically sound Assistant MEP Engineer (Electrical) to support our engineering and project teams in electrical and MEP-related works. The role involves assisting in design review, site supervision, and coordination of electrical systems for building and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the design, review, and implementation of electrical systems including LV power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and ELV systems

Support generator sizing calculations, load analysis, and equipment selection

Assist in supervision of installation, testing, and commissioning of generators, ATS panels, and related systems

Coordinate with mechanical and plumbing teams to ensure proper MEP integration

Prepare and update single-line diagrams, load schedules, and cable routing layouts using AutoCAD or Revit MEP

Ensure compliance with local regulations and applicable international standards (NEC, IEC, BS)

Assist in reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements

Conduct site inspections and ensure electrical works follow approved drawings and safety standards

Support troubleshooting and basic maintenance of generator and electrical systems

Assist in preparing BOQs, cost estimates, and technical reports

Support project management activities including documentation, scheduling, and quality control

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E / B.Sc)

Minimum 2 years of experience in MEP building services or electrical works

Basic understanding of generators, power distribution systems, and electrical installations

Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office (Revit MEP knowledge is a plus)

Familiarity with electrical safety standards and grounding systems

Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work onsite in a fast-paced project environment
