Assistant Merchandise Planner

The Assistant Merchandise Planner supports the planning and execution of inventory, sales forecasting, and product assortment strategies for furniture and home décor categories. The role ensures optimal stock levels, maximizes sales, and minimizes markdowns while aligning with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in sales forecasting, budgeting, and demand planning for assigned categories
• Monitor inventory levels, stock movement, and replenishment plans
• Analyze sales performance, trends, and customer buying patterns
• Support category planning including assortment planning and product mix
• Coordinate with buying, supply chain, and store teams
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on sales, stock, and KPIs
• Track slow-moving and fast-moving items and recommend actions
• Assist in markdown and promotion planning to optimize sell-through
• Maintain accurate data in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle or similar)
• Ensure stock availability for seasonal collections and promotions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in retail merchandising/planning (Furniture preferred)
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, forecasting tools)
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• Good understanding of retail KPIs (Sell-through, GMROI, stock turnover)
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
