Assistant Montessori Teacher-Model Town

The Montessori Teacher is responsible for creating and maintaining a prepared learning environment based on Montessori philosophy and methods. The teacher will foster independent learning, critical thinking, creativity, and respect for self, others, and the environment. The role requires collaboration with colleagues, effective communication with parents, and ongoing professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver Montessori lessons in alignment with the American Lyceum School curriculum and Montessori philosophy.
• Create a child-centered, orderly, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages independence and exploration.
• Guide students individually and in small groups through self-directed activities, helping them progress at their own pace.
• Observe, assess, and record each child’s progress and development.
• Maintain classroom materials, ensuring they are accessible, well-kept, and developmentally appropriate.
• Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth in students.
• Encourage respect, courtesy, and responsibility among students in accordance with Montessori values.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, classroom activities, and school events.
• Participate in staff meetings, training programs, workshops, and school events.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and quality across the academic program.
• Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the American Lyceum School.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Montessori certification (AMI/AMS or equivalent) is required.
• Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in a Montessori classroom (preferred).
• Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy, methods, and child development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Passion for fostering lifelong learning, independence, and respect in students.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Rs18,000.00 per month
