Assistant Nurse

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Assistant Nurse to support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in home health settings across Dubai. The ideal candidate must hold a valid Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Eligibility Letter and be in the process of converting it to a full license. The Assistant Nurse will work under the supervision of Registered Nurses and physicians, ensuring safe, effective, and empathetic care for patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with patient care activities such as hygiene, mobility support, feeding, and comfort measures.

Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and report any changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse or physician.

Support Registered Nurses in carrying out care plans, including wound care assistance, medication preparation (where permitted), and basic procedures.

Provide support during treatments, rehabilitation exercises, and physiotherapy sessions.

Educate and guide patients and families on personal hygiene, nutrition, and safe practices in the home environment.

Ensure infection control practices are followed consistently in all patient care activities.

Assist in maintaining accurate and timely documentation of care provided.

Respect cultural sensitivities, ensure patient dignity, and provide emotional support to patients and families.

Maintain readiness to perform delegated tasks in accordance with DHA’s scope of practice for assistant nurses.

Qualifications & Eligibility

DHA Eligibility Letter issued and valid (process of activation to full license).

Diploma or Certificate in Nursing (recognized under DHA standards).

Primary Source Verification (PSV) completed via Dataflow.

Minimum 1–2 years of recent nursing experience, preferably in home care, hospital, or community settings.

Preferred Skills & Competencies

Prior experience in home care, long-term care, or community nursing.

Basic knowledge of infection prevention, wound care, and patient assistance techniques.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Empathetic, culturally sensitive, and patient-focused.

Team player with the ability to work under supervision.

Organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple care tasks efficiently.

Working Conditions

Full-time role with flexible scheduling to meet patient needs, including evenings or weekends.

Work involves travel to patient homes across Dubai.

Role requires direct patient care with some basic documentation responsibilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
