Description:

The FOH Assistant Operations Manager supports the overall management of front-of-house operations to ensure smooth service delivery, exceptional guest experiences, and adherence to brand standards. This role assists in supervising FOH teams, improving service processes, managing guest relations, and supporting daily operational and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing day-to-day front-of-house activities to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Coordinate between kitchen and service teams to maintain efficient communication.
  • Ensure all FOH staff follow opening, closing, and service SOPs.
  • Monitor floor operations to uphold cleanliness, ambiance, and readiness.
  • Greet guests, resolve concerns, and handle escalations professionally.
  • Assist in supervising, mentoring, and training FOH staff.
  • Support staff scheduling, shift planning, and allocation of duties.
  • Assist in managing daily sales targets, upselling initiatives, and promotions.
  • Support stock requests, order placement, and coordination with procurement.
  • Ensure adherence to hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
  • Ensure FOH staff maintain personal grooming and uniform standards.
  • Prepare shift reports, incident logs, and operational updates as needed.
  • Assist with rota planning, attendance tracking, and basic administrative tasks.
  • Support the Operations Manager with audits and operational KPI tracking.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Hospitality, Restaurant Management, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of FOH experience in F&B or hospitality, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of customer service standards and FOH operations.
  • Experience with POS systems, reservation platforms, and basic inventory processes.
