Role Summary:

The Assistant Operations Manager (Landfill) will play a key role in supporting and supervising landfill operations. This position is essential to ensure compliance with environmental, technical, and operational standards, and to maintain efficiency and safety in all landfill activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Operations Manager in supervising and overseeing landfill projects to ensure compliance with approved environmental and engineering standards.
• Monitor waste reception, sorting, and landfilling operations, ensuring adherence to operational systems and sanitary landfill plans.
• Supervise contractor performance and evaluate compliance with contractual terms and technical requirements.
• Conduct and analyze benchmarking studies to compare operational efficiency against international best practices.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for landfill operations, such as filling rates, cell lifespan, liner quality, and daily cover efficiency.
• Supervise routine maintenance activities for landfill equipment and infrastructure.
• Review and assess landfill closure and environmental rehabilitation plans once design capacity is reached.
Oversee the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements across all landfill activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in landfill management, waste recycling, or environmental projects.
• Professional registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers ( SCE )
