Assistant Parts Manager

Job Purpose
The Assistant Parts manager will be responsible for to maintain relationship with retail customers, dealers and other channel customers for promoting and selling parts, lubricants in the assigned territory/ branch; expand customer-base, follow up for timely payment collections and provide market feedback and suggestions to improve market share and achieve targets. Oversee a team of sales / support staff involved in branch operation


Key Accountabilities

  • To ensure Sales and profit target for Mazda parts , Veedol lubricant is achieved and further scope of growth is explored
  • To improve the work efficiency & effectiveness of the Sales and support team & to ensure consistently improved service levels provided to our Customer & monitor Customer perception about GAL/MAZDA / VEEDOL
  • Organize, Lead & Inspire the Parts sales team to maximize the individual contribution and personal development.
  • Daily review with the Sales team on performance till date, forecasting & corrective action plan.
  • Help the team by joint Sales calls to generate sales with Key accounts.
  • Managing the sales force- effective direction, feedback , control & motivation (sales force effectiveness).
  • Developing strong customer base and look out for new markets to create new opportunity in improving the business volumes. Add at least 5 new customers per month in the data base.
  • Review/ increase the credit limits for all channel customers to meet the business objective.
  • To ensure effective utilization of resources available with a continuous focus on saving on cost.
  • To continuously monitor & improve customer base for parts business in the assigned branch.
  • Develop a strong and long-term business relationship with key territory accounts by evaluating and understanding the customer's business and correlating it with the market
  • Close interaction with service department in meeting the business objectives and for enhancing internal & external customer satisfaction.
  • Working closely with Inventory team for order suggestion, order placement, logistic control and stock updating (all import & local procurement product lines).
  • Strictly implementing the credit policy apart from achieving budgeted sales and debtor’s collection for optimal results and responsible for profitability from the territory.
  • Handle customer complaints and ensure each customer receives outstanding service.
  • Assist in developing various sales and operational reports for parts department.
  • Liaising with inventory management team in liquidating the Dead and slow moving parts to various customers channels in the data base.
  • Preparing daily, weekly and monthly sales / business development activity report and presenting to NPM.
  • Any relevant ad-hoc duties and/or relevant special projects may be assigned by the Management.

    Knowledge Skills and Experience:
    (The minimum qualifications, skills and experience needs to carry out job successfully)
    • Graduate Engineer in Mechanical/Automobile. Post graduate in Business management would be an added advantage.
    • 8- 10 years’ experience in Spare Parts department out of which 3 years in managerial position.
    • Ability to plan, organize and manage the parts operations cycles, maintaining a speedy and efficient supply cycle monitor and minimize the inventory.
    • Pleasing personality & Customer friendly approach
    • Good communication, Negotiations and Persuasion skills
    • Sound business and commercial acumen.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).
    • UAE or GCC Driving License preferred
