Job Summary
We are looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to support our pharmacy operations by handling insurance approvals, coordinating with insurance providers, and assisting pharmacists in ensuring smooth patient service. A pharmacy license is not required for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and follow up on insurance approvals for prescribed medications.
- Coordinate with insurance companies regarding authorization requests and coverage clarifications.
- Assist pharmacists with prescription processing and administrative tasks.
- Verify patient insurance details and eligibility.
- Maintain accurate records of approvals, rejections, and supporting documentation.
- Communicate with patients regarding approval status and required documents.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and insurance procedures.
- Support inventory and pharmacy administrative activities as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in insurance approvals within a pharmacy, clinic, or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of UAE insurance processes and healthcare regulations.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and healthcare systems.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Arabic language skills will be an advantage.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in a pharmacy, medical center, or hospital.
- Familiarity with major UAE insurance providers and approval portals.
Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
