The Assistant Physiotherapist plays a key role in supporting physiotherapy services by assisting in patient assessment, treatment execution, and rehabilitation programs under the supervision of a licensed Physiotherapist. The position focuses on delivering safe, effective, and patient-centered care to enhance recovery, mobility, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in assessing patients’ physical conditions and functional limitations as directed by the Physiotherapist
- Support the delivery of physiotherapy treatments including exercise therapy, electrotherapy, manual assistance, and rehabilitation procedures
- Provide bedside physiotherapy support for IPD, ICU, post-operative, and orthopaedic patients as required
- Closely monitor patient response during therapy sessions and immediately report any discomfort or adverse reactions
- Guide patients in performing prescribed exercises correctly and safely
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and patient progress
- Prepare, operate, and maintain physiotherapy equipment ensuring safety and hygiene standards
- Ensure compliance with NABH protocols, infection control policies, and patient safety guidelines
- Educate patients and attendants on home exercise programs, posture care, and mobility precautions
- Coordinate effectively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for holistic patient care
Qualifications & Experience:
- Educational Qualification: Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy (DPT / BPT)
- Experience: 0–1 years (Freshers with strong clinical skills may be considered)
- Registration: Valid State Physiotherapy Council registration preferred
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of physiotherapy principles and rehabilitation techniques
- Excellent patient-handling and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently under supervision and in multidisciplinary teams
- Compassionate, ethical, and patient-centric approach
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Hospital, rehabilitation unit, or physiotherapy clinic
- Requires standing, assisting patient mobility, and physical endurance

Pay: ₹8,531.70 - ₹15,000.00 per month
