Assistant Planning Manager

The project:

This project offers the chance to join a talented Mace team in delivering an ultra-luxury residential and hospitality project with significant civils and infrastructure scope, collaborating with renowned architects and global consultants. The project involves extensive infrastructure, landscape and built assets, delivered rapidly through Mace as a hands-on Project Management Consultant with FIDIC Engineer responsibility.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Delivering a safe, high‑quality, and compliant delivery environment, championing well-being, inclusion and strong HSE standards.
  • Undertaking key assignments, ensuring effective planning, scheduling, and performance aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Supporting senior management with governance, due diligence and schedule analysis.
  • Fostering collaboration, knowledge‑sharing, and strong stakeholder relationships across projects.
  • Conducting planning and scheduling across complex project phases and collaborating with supervision consultant and contractor planning teams.
  • Interfacing with stakeholders and driving progress reporting and productivity tracking against the approved progressing rules and methodologies.
  • Embedding sustainability, safety, and contract compliance into programme delivery.
  • Operating planning and reporting tools, and methodologies to ensure performance and continuous improvement.

You’ll need to have:

  • Relevant degree and membership of APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
  • Strong experience in Primavera P6 planning software. TILOS planning software experience beneficial.
  • Demonstrable experience reviewing and challenging contractor programmes.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, constraints and delivery methods.
  • Experience in delay analysis and time impact assessment.
  • Understanding of FIDIC contracts and time-related provisions.
  • Strong analytical capability across schedule, cost and progress integration.
  • Ability to communicate complex programme information clearly to stakeholders.
  • Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have relevant work experience working on high-valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
