Assistant Preschool Teacher

Assistant Preschool Teacher — Come Build Something With Us

Let's skip the corporate job description for a second.

Kiddie Academy of Goodlettsville, a brand new premium early learning center, is looking for assistant teachers who actually love this work. Teachers who light up when a two-year-old figures out a puzzle, who know how to redirect a tantrum without losing their patience, and who understand that what happens in these classrooms shapes the rest of these kids' lives.

The honest version of this job: You'll float between infant through 4-year-old classrooms, supporting lead teachers with lesson plans, activities, and the daily rhythm of the room. You'll keep the space clean and safe to Licensing standards, communicate with parents, document what matters, and help run a classroom that feels warm, structured, and alive. Some days are magic. Some days involve three diaper blowouts before 10am. You already know that.

Who we're looking for: This role is for someone who can confidently care for a full group of children—not just one or two. Managing a classroom of 12 or more little ones alongside another teacher is a different skill than watching your nieces and nephews, and we're looking for people who either have that experience or are genuinely ready to rise to it. Passion is the starting point; the ability to hold a room full of kids comes next.

You might be our person if:

  • You're patient, energetic, and genuinely enjoy being around kids
  • You can stay calm and organized when a room is loud, busy, and moving in ten directions
  • You show up on time, every time, because your co-teachers are counting on you
  • You take feedback well and want to grow
  • Previous childcare center, classroom, or large-group experience is a big plus

What we offer:

  • $15–$18/hr based on experience and credentials
  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off and vacation
  • Employee discount on childcare
  • 9am–6pm, Monday-Friday with a full hour break (no weekends, no nights).
  • A brand new, beautiful facility with the resources you actually need to do your job
  • A leadership team that has your back

What we need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A real love for working with young children
  • The kind of attitude that makes parents say "I'm so glad she's in that classroom"

If you've been in a center where you felt burned out, unsupported, or like just another warm body—come talk to us. We're building something different here.
