Normandale Preschool is looking for a passionate, dedicated, and creative Part-Time Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team! Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain positive, nurturing relationships with children, their families, and fellow staff members.
- Work as part of a team with other teachers and staff to create a positive and cooperative learning environment.
- Help to implement the curriculum and adapt it based on the needs and interests of the children.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment for both students and staff.
- Support children’s emotional well-being and help them build essential social skills.
Qualifications:
- Required: Experience working with young children in an Early Childhood Education setting.
- Preferred: Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field or a Child Development Associate (CDA) certification.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with children, families, and staff.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and work as part of a cooperative team.
- Passion for early childhood education and nurturing the growth and development of the whole child.
- Knowledge of child development and a commitment to supporting the individual needs of each child.
- Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
