Identification of project requirements, client obligations, and design verification in requisition for all technical materials before releasing the tender.
Studying the project Specifications, Drawings, and Bill of Quantities and willing to prepare a cost breakdown for all items.
Coordinate with all stakeholders to identify project phasing, and prepare, and release the invitation to tender.
Assess and negotiate the tenderer’s rates in different packages with a suitable timeline to ensure the best possible rates and conduct an analysis of the prices and proper material alternatives
Prepare technical and commercial comparison sheets' must be familiar with all the market updates of raw materials and commodities.
Evaluate the new and existing suppliers and contractors and add new vendors to OD'S approved vendor list.
Create a database for materials, equipment, and operating supplies prices and update it regularly to be referenced when necessary.
Prepare and maintain accurate regular procurement logs, saving reports, tender tracking, and procurement plans in coordination with the project planning department.
Carry out market analysis to get the best purchase deals
Handle all the directly procured items for the projects promptly and within the approved budget cost.
Lead the procurement department, ensuring that it maintains updated data such as information about suppliers’ products and prices
Handling full destination requirements from real estate projects and variations orders.
Responsible for the department saving report submitted to OD top management and the presentations that show efforts made by the department for technical team.
Manage the procurement process and evaluation of real estate tenders at a value of EGP10Bn a year, from financial and technical standpoints, up until the final award reaches an average saving of 10%.
Evaluating all the town management technical projects and variations orders starting from 10K to 10M EGP
Prepare and send weekly Material Price Index (MPI) for the main construction materials and worldwide which is shared with all OD teams.
Increasing the percentage of Client procured items (CPI) and Nominated subcontractors (NSC) by sourcing and qualifying new suppliers and subcontractors for value engineering purposes
Managing the destinations design the value engineering to ensure providing good quality within the project budget.
Providing on-going oversight of cost reduction based on technical and commercial intelligence, improving the cost.
Adding new suppliers and materials to the destinations creates more competition between suppliers which achieves better quality and cost for OD
Job Requirements:
Bachelor degree in civil engineering
6-8 years of experience in Construction/Real estate.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook.
