Assistant Production Supervisor

Overview

The Assistant Production Supervisor supports daily manufacturing operations by coordinating production activities, ensuring product quality, maintaining safety standards, and assisting the Production Supervisor in leading and developing the production team. This role plays a key part in achieving production efficiency, meeting delivery schedules, and fostering a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations

· Assist in planning, organizing, and monitoring daily production tasks to meet output and quality targets.

· Ensure workforce, materials, and equipment are utilized efficiently.

· Support changeovers, line setups, and troubleshooting minor equipment issues.

· Track production data such as downtime, output, and material usage.

Team Leadership

· Provide direction, coaching, and support to production operators.

· Assign work tasks and ensure staff understand expectations.

· Help train new employees on procedures, equipment, and safety practices.

· Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

· Diplomat in Mechanical Engineering;

· 1–3 years of experience in production or manufacturing

Skills

· Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

· Problem-solving and decision-making skills.

· Basic understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes.

· Knowledge of quality and safety standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA).

· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

· Manufacturing floor environment (noise, moving machinery, PPE required).

· Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to [X] lbs as needed.

· Shift flexibility (day, night (depend on the operation), weekend shifts depending on operations).
