CCM’s Media Production Division (MPRO) offers a wide range of classes to BFA majors in film and television production, audio, new media, sports media and broadcast news, along with courses that emphasize media writing, aesthetics and theory. MPRO Alumni are working at the highest levels of the media and entertainment industry throughout the world, consistently winning major awards. CCM’s Theatre Design & Production (TDP) BFA and MFA programs are guided by a hands-on, experiential philosophy and holistic approach to the entire entertainment industry. TDP alumni don’t just work in the entertainment industry, they lead it. Our graduates design on Broadway and around the world, work on concerts, television, film and virtual production companies, keep touring shows running and develop the newest entertainment industry technologies.
CCM values excellence in teaching, innovation in curriculum, and the ability to connect with a diverse group of students seeking to explore a range of opportunities and careers in a rapidly changing marketplace. CCM faculty are committed to recruiting, mentorship, career preparation, and student support. CCM encourages an inquisitive, collaborative spirit and expertise in a broad and diverse range of areas. Both MPRO and TDP are involved in interdisciplinary collaborations with an array of creative programs in acting, commercial music production, dance, film production, jazz, music performance, musical theatre, sports media, and theatre design, all housed in the CCM village. The department is seeking to enhance its current offerings with candidates who have research or performance interests in a related field reflective of the future job market. This could include but is not limited to areas such as community engagement, entrepreneurship, industry engagement, and/or arts leadership.
Prior to the effective date of appointment, the successful candidate must have either:
1. An MFA degree in Media Arts, Video Design, or a closely related field and two (2) years experience in either visuals for live events, immersive media, or a combination of both.
OR
2. A Bachelor’s degree in Media Arts, Video Design, or a closely related field, with seven (7) years of experience in either visuals for live events, immersive media, or a combination of both. Five (5) years of the work experience must be shown to be progressively more responsible.
In addition, the successful candidate must have the following, which may be, but are not required to be, concurrent with the experience above:
3. Two (2) academic years of teaching experience at the collegiate level.
4. Two (2) years of experience with visual media software programs such as Unreal Engine, Blender, Cinema 4D, AfterEffects, Notch, TouchDesigner, Disguise, or Pixera.
