Assistant Professor, Medical Genetics - Pediatrics, McGovern Medical School

McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Assistant Professor faculty position in the Division of Medical Genetics within the Department of Pediatrics, The selected candidate will contribute to the department’s mission to educate health science professionals, discover, and translate advances in the biomedical and social sciences, and model the best practices in clinical care and public health through research, teaching, clinical service, administrative activities, and other services.

Position Key Accountabilities:

The Assistant Professor in Pediatrics Medical Genetics responsibilities will include contributing to the clinical and educational programs of the Division of Medical Genetics. The selected candidate will engage in the inpatient consultation service and participate in outpatient clinics, encompassing both general medical genetics and designated specialty clinics as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Participate in all educational activities, including teaching students, residents, and fellows for UTHealth Houston and our affiliated programs with MD Anderson Cancer Center and Houston Methodist.
• Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publication, and assigned administrative duties.

Qualifications:

The selected candidate for the position must be board-eligible or board-certified in Clinical Medical Genetics. Training in Medical Biochemical Genetics is desired but not required.
