ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF STEM CELLS AND TISSUE CULTURE

The Department of Applied Biology at the College of Sciences seeks to appoint a qualified faculty at the level of Assistant Professor in the field of Stem Cells and Tissue Culture to commence teaching in Fall 2026.

Successful candidates are expected to contribute effectively to teaching different biotechnology courses such as Tissue Culture, Cell & Developmental Biology, Stem Cells engineering, Animal Biotechnology, Ethics of Biotechnology as well as gene expression regulation, and to contribute effectively to the fourth-year graduation projects.

Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. The application should contain an updated CV which includes degrees obtained, teaching experience, list of publications and names of three referees.

• Contribute effectively to carry out teaching of diverse theoretical and practical biology/biotechnology courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels such as Tissue Culture, Stem Cells engineering, Cell and Developmental Biology, Animal Biotechnology, Ethics of Biotechnology as well as gene expression regulation.
• Conduct high quality research work in the biotechnology area & contribute effectively to build research groups in biotechnology.
• Secure external and internal research funds.
• Provide academic and professional advising to students
• Contribute to UG and PG curricula and programs development.
• Contribute to the academic assessment processes.
Contribute to community services.
