Position Overview: We are currently looking for an Assistant Project Manager to supports the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects from inception through closeout. Assistant PM acts as a key liaison between project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination
Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
Coordinate day-to-day activities between contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors
Monitor project progress and report on milestones, deliverables, and potential delays
Financial Management
Track project costs against budgets and identify variances
Process payment applications, change orders, and invoices for approval
Maintain cost tracking systems and prepare financial reports
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain comprehensive project documentation including contracts, drawings, specifications, and correspondence
Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and closeout documentation
Ensure compliance with building codes, permit requirements, and contractual obligations
Quality & Safety Oversight
Support quality assurance/quality control programs and inspection processes
Monitor contractor compliance with safety plans and regulations
Participate in site inspections and document observations
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
1-3 years of construction industry experience in progressively responsible roles
Experience with commercial, institutional, or infrastructure projects preferred
Preferred QualificationsStrong knowledge of construction methods, means, and materials
Understanding of construction contracts, specifications, and drawings
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in fast-paced environments
