We are seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Property Manager, to join our team in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the property management team in ensuring the smooth operation of our multifamily apartment community . This position requires a blend of administrative skills, customer service expertise, and knowledge of property maintenance and facilities management.
Duties:
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of property management, including tenant relations and property maintenance.
- Manage delinquancies, renewals, leases to meet company goals
- Coordinate maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of issues through effective facilities management.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant information, lease agreements, and property documents through diligent data entry.
- Support the management team with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, preparing reports, and managing correspondence.
- Foster positive relationships with tenants by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with leasing team to promote available units and assist in leasing efforts.
Experience :
- Previous experience as a Assistant Property Manager in multifamily property management
- Yardi experience required
- Spanish speaking (Bilingual) preferred
- Property leasing experience required
- Basic accounting
- Customer service
- Familiarity with property maintenance practices and facilities management principles is advantageous.
- Strong administrative skills with proficiency in data entry and record keeping.
- Knowledge of customer relationship management techniques to enhance tenant satisfaction.
- Understanding of legal aspects related to property management, including fair housing laws.
