OVERVIEW
A well-established property management company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of a
144-unit market-rate residential community in Columbus, OH. This full-time, on-site role works closely with the Property Manager to ensure strong operational performance, resident satisfaction, and financial results.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, interacting with residents, supporting leasing efforts, and helping maintain a high-quality living environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Support daily operations of a 144-unit market-rate apartment community
- Assist with leasing activities including tours, applications, renewals, and resident follow-up
- Interact daily with residents to address questions, concerns, and service requests
- Support rent collection, delinquency follow-up, and account tracking
- Assist with unit turns, move-ins, move-outs, and inspection coordination
- Conduct regular property walks to monitor curb appeal, safety, and cleanliness
- Coordinate work orders and follow up with maintenance and vendors to ensure timely completion
- Maintain accurate resident files, reports, and administrative records
- Assist with budget tracking, reporting, and operational documentation
- Support marketing initiatives to maintain strong occupancy and leasing velocity
Serve as on-site leadership support in the absence of the Property Manager

WHAT IT TAKES
- 2+ years of residential property management experience
- Strong leasing, resident relations, and administrative skills
- Experience supporting rent collection, delinquency follow-up, and compliance
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently
- Proficiency with property management software preferred (Yardi, AppFolio, or similar)
- Hands-on and service-oriented
- Professional, friendly, and approachable
