Assistant Property Manager

Asden Management, a rapidly growing Real Estate Management Company with properties in several states, is looking for excellent employees to add to our team!

We are currently seeking an experienced full time ASSISTANT PROPERTY MANAGER for a portfolio of 5 multi-family properties including more than 600 units in East Orange, NJ.

APM JOB SUMMARY:

The Assistant Property Manager (APM) will support the daily operations of the property management by performing administrative task,s managing rent collections and handling resident relations. They are also responsible for inspecting property conditions and coordinating maintenance work.

APM Duties/ Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Assist property manager with leases, renewals, collections, tenant move-ins and move-outs
  • Handling new lease process from initial tour to move in. Including but not limited to meeting and greeting prospective residents, conducting property tours, application processing, preparation of lease and move-in paperwork, and managing the move-in
  • Ensure that all rents and late fees are collected, posted and deposited in a timely manner.
  • Respond to Billing and leasing inquiries
  • Work with Property Manager on collections and legal process
  • Respond to tenant complaints and property issues as needed
  • Manage all tenant records in YARDI including move-ins, move-outs and renewals
  • ensure all administrative paperwork is accurate, complete and submitted on a timely basis.
  • review monthly rent charges
  • walk the property on a regular basis
  • Other clerical and administrative tasks as needed

Job requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as Assistant Property Manager at a multi-family property
  • Proficiency with a property management software; Yardi software preferred
  • Strong computer skills; proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • strong mathematical skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent organizational & communication skills
  • understanding of laws, guidelines and best practices of property management
  • high school diploma or equivalent required.
