Assistant Property Manager (Boutique Hotel)

Job Overview
We’re looking for a highly reliable and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support overall hotel operations.

This is a hands-on, operational role, not a desk-only position. You’ll work closely with the Regional Manager to ensure the property runs smoothly, the team stays aligned, and the guest experience remains consistent.

You’ll be involved across all areas of the hotel — stepping in where needed, solving problems quickly, and helping maintain high standards throughout the property.

Responsibilities

  • Support overall hotel operations across departments (front desk, housekeeping, guest experience)
  • Supervise and train staff across departments such as human resources, guest relations, and night audit teams
  • Manage revenue streams through effective revenue management strategies and budgeting practices
  • Ensure high standards of customer service by maintaining excellent phone etiquette and overseeing multi-line phone systems
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure smooth operation of resort facilities and amenities
  • Monitor hotel performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency
  • Oversee staffing schedules, hiring processes, and employee performance evaluations
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies

Experience

  • Proven supervisory experience within the hospitality industry, preferably in hotel management or resort settings
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and have prior hotel experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of hospitality management principles including guest services, revenue management, and human resources
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams
  • Experience in front desk operations, night audit procedures, and resort management is preferred
  • Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable to facilitate communication with international guests
  • Familiarity with budgeting processes, hotel management software, and multi-line phone systems is essential
  • Excellent customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and guest relations expertise

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience in boutique or lifestyle hotels
  • Exposure to multiple departments (housekeeping + front desk + ops)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
