Job Description
Job Overview:
Under the supervision of the Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney and a higher classified Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, reviews and authorizes requests for warrants, determines the appropriate charge and prosecutes criminal cases. Regularly presents criminal cases in court, may be assigned some felony cases, and assists with other matters as assigned. Attempts to resolve and dispose of criminal cases or tries case in court.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Law degree from an accredited law school.
Experience: Prefer some criminal law experience.
Licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan. Basic Prosecutor training offered by the Prosecuting Attorney’s Coordinating Council.
