Job Description

Job Overview:

An Assistant Prosecuting Attorney serves under the elected County Prosecutor and serves the community by prosecuting criminal cases including felonies, misdemeanors, juvenile delinquency petitions, and child protection proceedings.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The responsibilities of an Assistant Prosecutor include: the analysis of warrant requests; conducting pretrial conferences, bench trials and jury trials; working with other law enforcement agencies for the drafting of search warrants; and any other duties as assigned by the Prosecuting Attorney.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must have a Juris Doctorate degree or be a third year law student sitting for the February 2026 Michigan Bar.
