Job Summary:
The Assistant Recreation Manager supports the RD Manager in overseeing the daily operations of recreational facilities, including swimming pool, gym, spa (if applicable), and guest activity programs. The role ensures exceptional guest service, safety compliance, and smooth departmental operations in line with hotel standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the daily operations of the recreation facilities.
- Supervise recreation team members (lifeguards, attendants, gym staff).
- Ensure all safety procedures and health regulations are strictly followed.
- Monitor cleanliness and maintenance of pool, gym, and recreational areas.
- Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
- Support in planning and organizing guest activities and wellness programs.
- Prepare duty rosters and assist with team scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (Dubai Municipality / Civil Defense where applicable).
- Assist in budget control, inventory management, and cost monitoring.
- Conduct regular inspections and submit operational reports.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Sports Management, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in recreation or leisure operations (hotel experience preferred).
- Supervisory experience required.
- Lifeguard and First Aid/CPR certification (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of safety and hygiene standards.
