Job Summary/Basic Function
The Assistant Registrar for Registration provides strategic direction, program development, and assessment for assigned area and supports Registration Office and Registrar’s Solution Center’s daily operations. The Assistant Registrar for Registration has primary responsibility to manage and configure registration setup in student information system each semester, including term setup, priority registration, waitlists, duplicate reports, and administrative drops. This position oversees the creation and approval of academic calendars, and partners with Marketing and Communication on registration marketing. The Assistant Registrar for Registration leads the Registrar Solution Center operations staff, and is responsible for managing and testing relevant areas of the Student Information System and related technical applications. This role advises campus stakeholders on registration and other related policy. This position cross-trains on academic operation processes, serves on various institutional committees and completes special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- One year full time higher education employment in registrar services, admissions, financial aid, student services, enrollment services, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred:
- Two or more years full time experience specifically in records operations and processes, prior learning assessment, and transfer processes.
- Experience working with student information systems, (such as Ellucian Banner).
- Excellent self-management, organization, and attention to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
