Position Summary

The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for supporting the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining food safety and quality standards, achieving sales and profitability targets, and developing a high-performing team. The role requires strong leadership, operational excellence, and the ability to manage restaurant performance in a fast-paced QSR environment.

Key Responsibilities1. Restaurant Operations

  • Support the Restaurant Manager in managing day-to-day restaurant operations.
  • Ensure smooth opening, shift management, and closing procedures.
  • Monitor service speed, food quality, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with company SOPs and operational standards.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and ensure prompt resolution.
  • Conduct regular floor walks and operational audits.

2. Team Leadership & People Management

  • Supervise shift leaders, supervisors, and crew members.
  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new employees.
  • Conduct daily shift briefings and team meetings.
  • Monitor staff productivity and performance.
  • Coach and develop employees to achieve operational excellence.
  • Ensure proper manpower planning and scheduling.

3. Guest Experience

  • Ensure all guests receive exceptional service.
  • Maintain high standards of hospitality and guest engagement.
  • Monitor customer feedback and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive guest satisfaction and repeat business.

4. Food Safety & Quality Control

  • Ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety standards.
  • Monitor product quality, holding times, and food preparation procedures.
  • Conduct daily food safety inspections and temperature checks.
  • Ensure personal hygiene and grooming standards are maintained.
  • Maintain cleanliness standards in all restaurant areas.

5. Financial Performance

  • Support achievement of sales and profitability targets.
  • Monitor labor cost, food cost, and controllable expenses.
  • Analyze daily sales reports and key performance indicators.
  • Assist in inventory management and stock control.
  • Minimize wastage and product variance.
  • Support implementation of local store marketing initiatives.

6. Inventory & Cost Control

  • Conduct stock counts and inventory audits.
  • Monitor ordering and receiving procedures.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO).
  • Control waste and prevent stock losses.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records.

7. Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Oman Municipality regulations.
  • Maintain workplace safety standards.
  • Conduct safety inspections and incident reporting.
  • Ensure all licenses and certifications remain updated.
  • Follow company policies and labor regulations.

8. Reporting & Administration

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
  • Monitor restaurant KPIs and action plans.
  • Manage shift cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
  • Maintain employee records and training documentation.

QualificationsEducation

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in QSR/Fast Food operations.
  • Minimum 1–2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Experience with high-volume restaurant operations preferred.

Pay: RO250.000 - RO350.000 per month
