Assistant Safety Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Safety Officer to support the implementation and monitoring of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across our operations.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance, conducting inspections, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across plant areas and site operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct safety inspections and audits
  • Identify hazards and implement corrective measures
  • Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures
  • Deliver safety training and awareness sessions
  • Investigate incidents and maintain safety records
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
  • Maintain plant areas and trucks in a safe, clean condition
  • Manage safety-related documentation (registration, insurance, calibration)

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an Assistant Safety Officer
  • NEBOSH certification
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
