Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Safety Officer to support the implementation and monitoring of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across our operations.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance, conducting inspections, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across plant areas and site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct safety inspections and audits
- Identify hazards and implement corrective measures
- Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures
- Deliver safety training and awareness sessions
- Investigate incidents and maintain safety records
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
- Maintain plant areas and trucks in a safe, clean condition
- Manage safety-related documentation (registration, insurance, calibration)
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an Assistant Safety Officer
- NEBOSH certification
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and within a team
