Assistant Sales Manager

This person will primarily spend time in the office and around the property at Burley Extended Stay.

General Description

The motel office assistant will be responsible, under the direction of the motel manager, for the overall well-being of the motel and all areas related to the day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with guest services and handle payments through computer software programming
  • Make any necessary repairs to rooms in time for guest check in.
  • Responsible for 24 hour emergency assistance, on call basis
  • Attending to and solving guest complaints in a timely manner.
  • Assist in checking in guests
  • Help with scheduling and/or completing any preventive maintenance required.
  • Complete grounds maintenance.
  • Routinely check that all safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, fire alarms, etc., are in place and in proper working order.
  • Maintain grounds keeping, including clearing and maintaining parking lots, sidewalks, garden or landscaping areas, etc.
  • Coordinate special projects.
  • On-call office and emergency assistance when needed

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Reliable transportation is a must, where we have 7 different locations that need to be visited regularly
  • Must maintain a professional and courteous manner with guests, visitors, contractors, and fellow employees.
  • Must have ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Must be able to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
  • Ability to manage your time efficiently.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
