Assistant Social Media Manager - Beauty

Role Overview: The Assistant Social Media Manager will support the development and execution of creative, strategic social media content across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate is beauty- and trend-obsessed, highly organized, and energized by a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


Assistant Social Media Manager Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize, write, execute, and edit engaging content across social platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging AI-driven platforms
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Social Media to translate brand storytelling priorities into compelling social content
  • Manage daily community engagement across all social channels to build loyalty and foster conversation
  • Lead the brand’s presence on AI and emerging social platforms by testing new tools, formats, and engagement strategies
  • Identify cultural and social trends and translate them into timely, relevant content ideas
  • Assist with briefing, reviewing, and coordinating user-generated content (UGC)
  • Manage and grow the brand’s customer advocacy and community platform through creative engagement
  • Support global photoshoots and assist with asset organization and distribution
  • Film and edit social-first content, including short-form videos optimized for organic and paid media
  • Assist with briefing freelance creatives for motion and static content
  • Write and edit copy that aligns with brand voice while balancing SEO and engagement best practices


Assistant Social Media Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 1–2 years of experience creating and managing social content for a brand (intern or coordinator experience welcome)
  • Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and emerging social media platforms
  • Proven ability to film, edit, and produce high-impact short-form video content
  • Extremely comfortable being on camera and directing or filming others
  • Strong understanding of community management and audience engagement
  • Awareness of evolving digital, social, and AI-driven trends
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and project management abilities
  • Detail-oriented, collaborative, and adaptable in a fast-moving environment
  • Passion for beauty, skincare, and social media innovation
