Assistant Solicitor General - Federalism and Strategic Litigation
The Utah Office of the Attorney General has an immediate opening for an Assistant Solicitor General in the Federalism and Strategic Litigation Section. This section focuses on prosecuting and defending Utah’s federalism interests and other matters and issues involving the strategic interests of Utah and the Office.
The ideal candidate will have prior appellate practice and judicial clerkship experience that would enable them to focus on assisting the Office with amicus briefs involving issues affecting state interests. The attorney may also work on district court matters involving federalism, strategic litigation, or constitutional issues, and civil or criminal appeals. Applicants should possess excellent written and oral advocacy skills. Membership in the Utah State Bar in good standing is required.
