Job Purpose
To assist in the effective management of inventory, storage operations, and material handling to ensure accurate stock control, timely issuance of materials, and compliance with company policies and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management
- Assist in receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Ensure proper labeling, categorization, and storage of all materials.
- Maintain accurate stock records in the inventory system.
- Support regular stock counts (daily, weekly, monthly) and annual stock audits.
- Report discrepancies, damages, or shortages immediately to the Storekeeper.
2. Stock Issuance & Control
- Prepare and issue materials to departments based on approved requisitions.
- Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) / FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) principles are strictly followed.
- Monitor stock levels and notify the Storekeeper of low-stock or fast-moving items.
- Prevent wastage, spoilage, and unauthorized removal of items.
3. Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain updated records of goods received, issued, and transferred.
- File and organize delivery notes, invoices, and internal requisition forms.
- Assist in updating inventory software (e.g., ERP or stock management systems).
4. Warehouse Organization & Hygiene
- Ensure warehouse cleanliness and proper arrangement at all times.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards (especially for coffee shop / food-related items).
- Ensure proper temperature control for perishable items.
- Comply with company safety procedures.
5. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with purchasing, kitchen, and operations departments regarding stock availability.
- Assist in preparing reports related to stock movement and consumption.
- Support the Storekeeper during inspections and audits.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED1,100.00 - AED1,400.00 per month
