About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Store Keeper to support our inventory and store operations. The successful candidate will ensure efficient handling, storage, and distribution of food and non-food supplies while maintaining strict hygiene and stock control standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming stock and deliveries
- Properly store food items, dry goods, and catering materials in line with company standards
- Issue stock to kitchen and operational teams based on approved requisitions
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock registers or systems
- Assist in routine stock counts and monthly inventory audits
- Ensure proper labeling, arrangement, and FIFO (First-In-First-Out) stock rotation
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with hygiene standards in storage areas
- Report shortages, damages, expired, or irregular stock to the Store Keeper/Management
- Assist in loading and unloading of materials when required
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience in a catering, hotel, or food service environment preferred
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and stock control procedures
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Physically fit and capable of handling store materials
- Honest, reliable, and a strong team player
