Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to support our retail operations and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will assist in managing daily store activities, leading a team, and driving sales while maintaining a positive shopping environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a passion for retail management.

Duties

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Lead, train, and develop team members to enhance performance and promote a customer-focused culture.
  • Manage inventory control processes including ordering, stocking, and merchandising to optimize product availability.
  • Conduct employee orientation, training sessions, and performance evaluations to foster team growth.
  • Handle payroll, scheduling, and shift management to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Engage in recruiting efforts to attract top talent for the store team.
  • Utilize POS systems for transactions and cash handling while maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Implement effective marketing strategies to drive sales and increase store visibility.
  • Monitor retail math metrics such as pricing, sales performance, and budgeting to achieve financial goals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and enhancing the shopping experience.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail management or as an Assistant Manager with strong supervisory skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Proficiency in inventory management, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks related to store operations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with merchandising techniques and marketing strategies relevant to retail sales.
  • Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems is essential.
  • Knowledge of grocery store operations is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $23.03 - $27.74 per hour
