Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Store Manager to support daily operations at our furniture showroom. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in retail furniture sales, customer service, and store management. They will assist the Store Manager in overseeing staff, optimizing sales, and ensuring an excellent customer experience.

Store Operations & Compliance:

  • Support the Store Manager in managing end-to-end showroom operations in accordance with company policies and retail standards.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs, statutory requirements, and audit compliance.
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash management, billing accuracy, and documentation.

Sales Performance & Customer Experience:

  • Drive sales productivity through effective customer engagement and conversion strategies.
  • Assist in achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Personally handle premium and high-value customer interactions and closures.
  • Address customer escalations professionally and ensure timely resolution to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.

People Management & Leadership:

  • Supervise, guide, and motivate the sales team to deliver consistent performance.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of showroom staff.
  • Prepare duty rosters, manage attendance, and enforce discipline and grooming standards.

Inventory Management & Visual Merchandising:

  • Monitor stock levels, inward and outward movements, and inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and purchase teams to ensure timely product availability and deliveries.
  • Ensure visual merchandising aligns with brand guidelines and enhances customer appeal.

Reporting & Cross-Functional Coordination:

  • Prepare and review daily sales reports, inventory reports, and performance dashboards.
  • Liaise with Head Office teams including Accounts, HR, Operations, and Supply Chain.
  • Assist in periodic stock audits, internal audits, and management reviews.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a furniture showroom or related retail industry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and driving revenue.
  • Knowledge of furniture trends, materials, and product specifications.
  • Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
