Position Overview

The Assistant Storekeeper III is a senior-level materials management professional responsible for leading materials support operations, driving process improvements, and supporting strategic planning initiatives.

With 10+ years of experience, this role provides leadership to materials teams, ensures operational excellence, and serves as a subject matter expert in warehouse, logistics, and inventory management processes.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations

• Lead and manage materials support teams and complex warehouse projects

• Provide direction for daily materials operations and customer service functions

• Mentor and guide junior staff and support specialists

• Promote a safe and efficient work environment

Strategic Planning & Process Improvement

• Set strategic direction for materials support operations

• Develop and implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency and inventory accuracy

• Collaborate with senior management on long-term planning and capital investments

• Identify opportunities to optimize supply chain and warehouse performance

Materials & Inventory Management

• Oversee inventory control, storage, and distribution processes

• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards

• Support continuous improvement initiatives in materials handling and logistics

Industry Representation & Development

• Represent the organization at industry conferences and professional events

• Contribute to research and development initiatives related to materials technologies

• Stay current on emerging material technologies and best practices

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

• Ability to work in warehouse and materials handling environments

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in materials management, warehouse operations, or supply chain roles

• Proven leadership experience managing teams and operations

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

• Effective communication and collaboration abilities
