Assistant Supervisor, 2nd Shift (Shipping)

We are seeking an Assistant Supervisor to support our Shipping Department at Armstrong Avenue.

Responsibilities:

• Leading and driving productivity of the team
• ensuring orders are shipped timely and accurately
• utilizing MARSHALLTOWN applications to drive efficiencies
• responsible to secure the facility at the end of shift
• Ensuring all safety aspects of the jobs are being followed by employees
• Setting up and operating and performing basic equipment adjustments as required
• Training/Cross-Training both new and existing employees
• Performing quality checks, regularly, ensuring quality standards are met
• Operating powered industrial equipment to move product and materials in an efficient and safe manner
• Accurately entering data into computer systems to track material movements and locations
• Other duties and project work as assigned

Qualifications:

• Two (2) + years in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred
• Two (2) + years with manufacturing experience is preferred
• Must have good oral and written communication skills and good math skills
• Good decision-making and problem-solving skills are a must
• Attention to detail while operating safely is a must
• Must have the ability to multitask and work well under pressure
• Basic administrative computer proficiency, to include email, required
• Must be able to successfully pass the Material Handler Written Exam, FL Certification, Administrative Skills assessment, etc. to help determine fit for role
• Excellent attendance is required
• Meets harness and SRL (Self Retracting Lifeline) weight capacity limits (130 lbs. - 310 lbs.)
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs.
