Assistant Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Teacher Assistant to support classroom teachers in delivering a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment for children. The ideal candidate should be patient, energetic, and passionate about early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities and lesson implementation.
• Supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
• Support the preparation of learning materials, activities, and educational resources.
• Help in maintaining a clean, organised, and child-friendly classroom environment.
• Guide children during playtime, circle time, learning stations, and outdoor activities.
• Assist with attendance, daily reports, and communication with parents as required.
• Provide individual support to children who need extra assistance.
• Follow all school policies, procedures, and health & safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with the teaching team to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working with children or in a nursery/school setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow teacher instructions.
• Warm, patient, and dependable personality.
• Basic understanding of child development is an advantage.
