Assistant Teacher

Job Summary:
The Assistant Teacher supports the lead/class teacher in delivering effective classroom instruction, maintaining a positive learning environment, and assisting students academically and behaviorally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering daily lessons and classroom activities.
  • Support students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
  • Help maintain classroom discipline and a safe, positive learning environment.
  • Prepare teaching aids, worksheets, and classroom materials as directed.
  • Assist in assessing student work and maintaining academic records.
  • Supervise students during class activities, breaks, and school events.
  • Support students with special learning or behavioral needs under teacher guidance.
  • Maintain effective communication with teachers regarding student progress.
  • Ensure classroom cleanliness and organization.
  • Comply with school policies, academic standards, and code of conduct.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree (Education preferred).
  • Prior experience in a school environment is an advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff.
  • Patience, responsibility, and a student-focused approach.
