Assistant Teacher

While working in our school, you will support the lead teachers in implementing engaging lessons/ activities and ensuring each child's growth and well-being. Hours Needed:

AM 7:00am (Open)- 12:00pm

PM 12:00pm- 5:30pm (Close)

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in executing curriculum, crafts and other activities that promote literacy, math skills, social-emotional development, and overall childhood growth
• Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies
• Engage children in activities that enhance their cognitive, motor, and social skills
• Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that meets safety standards and promotes effective learning
• Provide individualized attention to children with special needs or disabilities
• Support early childhood development initiatives by fostering communication skills

Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred but not required
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices preferred but not required
• Experience with special education techniques, behavior management strategies, and working with individuals with special needs or disabilities a plus, but not required
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, administrators ands other staff
• Demonstrated classroom experience managing young children in a safe and nurturing environment a plus!
• Flexibility to work with children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
