Assistant Teacher-Childcare

Realife STEAM Academy is searching for the right individuals to join their team. Realife STEAM Academy is a relatively new childcare ministry in Realife Church in Greenfield, Indiana. Currently, we serve children who are six months through school age. Our philosophy statement is, Higher standards for a higher calling! We are looking for individuals who will help us fulfill that mission. The right individual loves caring for young children and their families. They are punctual and committed individuals who strive for excellence in their everyday lives. The right individuals love making the magic happen for children in the classroom setting.

Childcare Worker Job Description

The following list could be considered part of childcare workers' job descriptions or attributes.

• Ensuring the children have good hygiene and changing diapers as necessary
• Wiping faces and noses
• Tying shoes or correcting twisted clothing (changing if soiled)
• Cleaning tables, counters, and interactive areas throughout the day
• Preparing meals and snacks for the kids (this includes bottles and purees for infants)
• Organizing activities and developing curriculum for older children
• Assist in the development of the schedule for the children to maintain throughout the day
• Keeping records of each child's progress, interests, and any problems that may occur
• Updating parents on Procare: includes daily activities, each time they potty or have a diaper change, how and what they eat, and at least one happy photo per day
• Maintaining contact with the children's parents and contacting them in the case of an emergency
• Naturally, a flexible, caring, and empathetic person
• Be willing and commit to helping this childcare ministry reach its goals and fulfill its mission.
