Job Summary:

The Center for Alternative Sentencing & Employment Services (CASES) is seeking a committed and detail-oriented Assistant Team Leader, Compliance, to support the effectiveness of court-based alternative-to-incarceration and alternative-to-detention programming. The Assistant Team Leader plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity and quality of court services delivered in Manhattan Criminal and Supreme Courts. This individual will support compliance processes across CASES’ court programs, including Supervised Release (SRP), ROAR, NCS, and NACT, while strengthening partnerships with court stakeholders and enhancing data quality systems.

The Assistant Team Leader, Compliance, will provide mentorship and supervision to staff, monitor the accuracy and timeliness of data reporting, and support consistent and responsive communication with the judiciary and attorneys. With a deep commitment to CASES’ mission, the Assistant Team Leader will contribute to efforts to reduce incarceration, promote recovery and rehabilitation, and increase opportunities for individuals with behavioral health needs and criminal legal involvement.

The Assistant Team Leader brings a strong foundation in data management, systems navigation, and cross-agency collaboration, while also being a supportive and culturally responsive leader who ensures high standards of accountability and care in all court service functions. The successful candidate will model professionalism in court settings, champion anti-racist practices, and be flexible and solution-oriented in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Salary: The salary range for the Assistant Team Leader role is $75,000.00 - $77,250.00 per year.

Shift Hours: This position is full-time working Sunday through Thursday from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

Workplace Flexibility: Hybrid (for roles that have at least 1 full day remote per week; subject to change)

What you will be doing:

• Develop and maintain excellent professional relationships with judges, prosecutors, defense counsel, and other court partners to facilitate program admissions and maintain CASES’ credibility in the Manhattan Criminal and Supreme Courts.
• Provide mentorship and support to less experienced colleagues
• Assist with training new staff on all database and reporting procedures
• Ensure timely, complete, and accurate documentation in the case record database including collecting and tracking participant demographics, intake, re-arrest cases, court dates and warrants for all court-mandated programs, completing and responding to judicial inquires timely, and ensuring quality assurance checks of all work
• Facilitate effective collaboration with SRP, ROAR, ATI and NCS staff delivering services in the borough-based offices to ensure the court receives accurate information and participants satisfy conditions of supervision
• Assists the court parties in all compliance/noncompliance inquires and matters and provide timely and accurate notification to the court about participant non-compliance (when participants are missing/absconded, fail to report, and are rearrested)
• Provide culturally competent and anti-racist services in the court 1) in accordance with CASES’ policies and the delivery of excellent court services to address the needs of youth and young adults, adults, and individuals with behavioral health needs and 2) that are responsive to the race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender, and criminal legal history of program participants
• Analyzes and compares data between multiple databases including OCA, WebCRIMs, PSYCKES and eJusticeNY
• Provide supervision and maintain records of supervision of all assigned staff
• Responsible for conducting and keeping up with staff supervision and trainings
• Work a regular schedule and adhere to schedule changes to ensure SRP consistently maintains coverage for all court shifts; perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors and senior staff.
• Participate in supervision, case review and staff meetings, and in-service trainings to develop professional skills
• Help ensure we maintain a safe working environment by reporting any hazards or unsafe conditions, e.g., liquid spill in hallway, to the appropriate facilities staff member or supervisor.
• Complete all other tasks as noted by supervisors

What we are looking for:

• Associate's degree required
• 4 years of data entry and data management experience, including running reports, experience within a community-based organization as support staff, evaluator or direct service provider.
• Approximately two years of mentorship or training experience required.
• Ability to function effectively in a high-paced, high-stakes environment and work independently
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse participants and staff; bilingual candidates preferred
• Database development, management and analysis skill preferred
