Job Purpose

Plays a crucial role in supporting the design, development, and implementation of innovative packaging solutions. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that packaging meets both functional and aesthetic requirements while adhering to regulatory standards.

What You Will Do In Your Role

• Accountable for timely and successful completion of packaging development projects within the assigned scope, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
• Responsible for coordinating project tasks, managing resources, and addressing any issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
• Ensure that all packaging solutions developed are innovative, fit-for-purpose, and aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
• Act as a key point of contact for cross-functional teams, ensuring clear and effective communication between the packaging development team and other departments such as marketing, procurement, and manufacturing.
• Provide regular updates to the Head of Packaging Development and other stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and outcomes.
• Accountable for integrating sustainability considerations into all packaging development projects, ensuring that packaging solutions contribute to the company’s environmental goals.
• Standardization and Management of the Packaging Specification Development system.
• Continuously enhance the artwork approval process and collect data to drive ongoing improvements.
• Lead the Packaging Innovation trials in Juhayna Plants (New Lines, Formats, etc.)
• Assist Marketing and Purchasing teams in Pack & Price Innovations.
• Provide Sourcing Support through Technical Feasibility Assessments for the potential Sources.
• Manage the approval of the Color Separation and print sets development process with Juhayna suppliers to ensure the best cost and best printing results.
• Lead the trade Auditing system done by the team to ensure our packaging solution are functioning as per the design criteria.
• Management of the Trade Monitoring Program to ensure Juhayna is aware or any new initiatives in the market.
• Working with the Plant Teams on the Loss Elimination projects by providing technical inputs and development of specifications.
  
  

What You Will Bring To The Role

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical or related field
  
  

Experience

• 1-3 years of Experience in R&D
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal; ability to present complex information clearly.
