Job Summary:
As a member of Housing Leadership team, the Assistant to the AVC & Project Coordinator will provide day to day administrative support and manage daily office operations for the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Administration & Finance to ensure organizational and administrative efficiency, serving as a primary point of contact. The position will also manage identified projects or initiatives as determined by the AVC and implement established project plans, monitor progress and performance, and identify, resolve, or escalate issues. With challenges ever changing, the Assistant to the AVC will also anticipate and triage concerns, issues, and inquiries while championing and cultivating a mindset of innovative thinking and continuous improvement and serve as a thought partner on processes, practices, and departmental effectiveness.Job Description:
Job Responsibilities:
Create and compose emails, messages, responses to media inquiries, reports. etc.
Manage all aspects, including risks, of identified departmental initiatives/projects.
Communicate and collaborate with partners, department on project updates, next steps, etc.
Gather and summarize some data analytics to guide decisions, share information.
Evaluate practices and policies for effectiveness,
Manage day to day administrative operations, details, planning for AVC.
Utilize customer service best practices for approaches to all aspects of communications, departmental effectiveness, work.
Triage student concerns and find viable solutions with departmental team.
Plan and execute identified departmental events.
Other duties as identified/assigned.
