Role Overview:
This position will be an assistant to the design engineer within INDOT's District Capital Program Management division working under the District Design Department. As a Highway Engineering Assistant 3 (HEA3), you will work under the supervision of a Design Engineer to develop projects and generate contract documents (plans, specifications, estimates) to provide projects for bid letting, and ultimately construction in the field. During project development, HEA3 communicates regularly with internal stakeholders and is expected to develop a solid understanding of design policy and standards.
Location:
This position is located in INDOT’s Seymour District.
CDL Positions:
Candidates with a current CDL and endorsements required by the district, will earn an additional $1 per hour. Candidates without a CDL will be given 90 days to obtain their CDL and endorsements required by the district and will then earn an additional $1 per hour. CDL training provided onsite by certified INDOT staff.
Salary:
This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $53,222.00. Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience
