Assistant Toddler Teacher

Advent Lutheran Child Center is dedicated to caring for God’s most precious gifts. We are a full year child care program that care for children from 1 month through 12 years with 6 classrooms throughout the building. We are a level 4 Early Achievers participant. We strongly believe in having "yes" rooms where each child's individual needs are met and they are able to engage in messy, hands on play.

This position is in our One's Room, working with kids from 12-21 months. The classroom can have up to 13 children and is staffed with 3 teachers staggered throughout the day.

Hours:

10-630, Monday-Friday

ROP:

Higher wage with 10 college credits of ECE approved in MERIT

Requirements:

~Ability to pass a background check

~Vaccinated for COVID-19 & MMR

~Some college preferred, but must be willing to start or continue your college education to work towards at least an ECE State Stackable Certificate within 1 year of hire

~Experience working in a child care center, preferably in a diapering room

~Willingness to go outside daily, regardless of weather

~Ability to get up and down off the ground and pick up children

Job Duties:

~Assists with learning, cleaning, and care giving activities

~Uses Creative Curriculum and Gold for lesson planning and assessment

~Runs classroom in the afternoon and in the Lead's absence

~Communicates with families daily to keep them up to date on the class and their child

~Closes classroom daily

Pay: $19.06 - $19.79 per hour
