Qualifications: To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A genuine interest in early childhood education and child development.
  • [Refer to the North Dakota Early Childhood Services Rule for specific qualification requirements.]
  • First aid/CPR Certification for Adult, Child, and Infant with AED certification (to be obtained within 90 days of employment).

Responsibilities: As an Early Childhood Assistant, your duties will include:

  • Participating in a thorough 2-day onsite orientation to familiarize yourself with our program.
  • Creating a supportive and clean environment that promotes children's growth across emotional, social, and intellectual domains.
  • Ensuring the classroom is organized and safe, with well-maintained equipment and materials.
  • Engaging positively with children, parents, and fellow staff members, fostering effective communication.
  • Assisting in implementing age-appropriate curriculum, activities, and lesson plans to support children's learning.
  • Keeping accurate records of attendance, daily reports, food program records, and developmental progress.
  • Supervising designated groups of children to ensure their well-being and safety.
  • Collaborating with the Lead Teacher and support staff to maintain a cohesive learning environment.
  • Contributing to mealtime routines and promoting healthy eating habits in a family-style setting.
  • Demonstrating flexibility in tasks and assignments as required.
  • Adhering to program policies, following procedures, and implementing safety protocols.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance according to our program's dress code.
  • Participating in annual professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Assisting in orienting new staff members to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Taking part in parent involvement events to strengthen community connections.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
