About Marriage Helper

Marriage Helper produces long-form YouTube video podcasts and educational content designed to help couples in crisis. This role would also include editing long form podcasts and educational content for Marriage Helper’s CEO, helping individuals become the best version of themselves. We're looking for a detail-oriented video editor to join our team and help us deliver polished, on-brand content across both long-form and short-form platforms.

What You'll Do

• Edit full-length video podcasts and educational videos from start to finish
• Create short-form content (Reels and YouTube Shorts) that reflects current trends and platform best practices
• Apply brand-specific colors, graphics, and fonts consistently across all content
• Add accurate captions and on-screen text with correct spelling and grammar
• Perform basic color correction and grading to maintain a professional, cohesive look
• Follow creative direction and editing instructions precisely and efficiently
• Manage and organize project files within DaVinci Resolve
• Occasionally attend filming days to support the Content Producer

What We're Looking For

• Experience editing in DaVinci Resolve, or a demonstrated ability to learn new software quickly
• Strong attention to detail, especially when it comes to spelling, brand consistency, and following specific instructions
• Awareness of short-form content trends and what performs well on social platforms
• Some experience with color correction and grading
• Reliable, communicative, and able to meet deadlines
• A portfolio or sample reel showcasing your editing work

Nice to Have

• Experience editing podcast or interview-style content
• Motion graphics or basic animation skills
• Familiarity with YouTube publishing and optimization

Pay: $23.28 - $28.03 per hour
